The Logical Anchor in a World of Distortion 

Riya is the intellectual and emotional stabilizer of the story. While the protagonist, Nil, perceives the world through a fragmented and often surreal lens, Riya acts as his bridge back to reality. She is a woman of science and logic, possessing a keen mind that seeks to explain the unexplainable through the laws of physics. 

• Personality & Traits: She is exceptionally patient, observant, and deeply curious. Riya doesn't just listen to Nil; she investigates his reality.

• The Scientific Lens: A defining trait is her tendency to use basic science to ground Nil. For instance, when Nil observes "steam distortion," she calmly interprets it through the concept of light refraction, much like a Class 8 physics lesson.

• Narrative Role: Riya is the catalyst for the story's climax. She is the one who realizes that Nil’s auditory perceptions are tied to a specific "Origin Point", the tea stall, and courageously leads him back there to confront the source of his struggle.

Casting Specifications

Director's Note

Riya is the heartbeat of the journey. She understands how light bends through vapor, but she is yet to understand the shadows in Nil’s mind. We need an actor who can portray that delicate balance between a scientist’s curiosity and a companion’s empathy.
